The rule that warp yarns and weft yarns interlace or float each other in fabric is called fabric weave. The original tissue is the basis of various organizations, including plain, twill, and satin.

Plain weave is the simplest weave. Because the openings of the warp and weft are interlaced every time, the buckling of the yarn increases, and the interweave of the warp and weft is also the tightest. Under the same conditions, the plain weave has a hard feel and a firm texture.

The surface of the twill weave fabric presents an oblique line composed of continuous warp or weft points, so that the surface of the fabric presents a diagonal pattern. Because the number of twill weave cycles is greater than that of plain weave, and each warp or weft yarn has only one interlacing point in the weave, under the same density of warp and weft yarns, the fastness and wear resistance of twill are not as good as plain weave relatively soft.

Satin weave is the most complicated one in the original weave. Each warp or weft yarn forms some individual and discontinuous warp or weft points in the fabric. The warp yarn density of satin is greater than the weft yarn density, and the general warp and weft density ratio is 3: 2. The interweaving point is not visible on the front of the satin weave, smooth and even. The texture of the fabric is soft, lustrous, and drape is good, but the wear resistance is poor, and it is easy to scratch and fluff.
