The openness of the sunshade fabric is the ratio of the small holes interwoven by the warp and weft threads of the sunshade fabric.
Fibers of the same color and diameter are used to weave the same texture, and the ability to block solar radiant heat and control glare exposure with a small opening rate is stronger than that with a large opening rate.
(1) Fabrics with an opening rate of 1% openness to 3% openness can block the heat generated by solar radiation and control glare, but less natural light will enter, and the transparency effect is relatively poor. Therefore, we usually recommend using it in some sun exposure orientations (such as west) and when the curtain wall is made of transparent glass to solve the problem of strong thermal radiation and dazzling sunlight.
(2) Fabrics with 10% opening rate can obtain good natural light and transparency, but the performance of resisting solar radiation and glare is poor. We generally recommend using fabrics with 10% opening rate in some sun exposure orientations (such as the north), and also in some tinted glass curtain walls, to obtain natural lighting and transparency.
(3) 5% sunscreen fabric is generally widely used, and it blocks solar radiation. To control glare and get natural light and good transparency, we generally recommend the south side.
